At the invitation of CSCLF, the Organizing Committee of Asia-Pacific Children's Convention in Fukuoka sent a delegation of 19 young Japanese from Fukuoka on a good-will visit to Beijing from 26 through 31 March 2008.

The delegation visited Beijing Shijia Primary School, where they joined the Chinese students in having classes, doing exercises and making dumplings, and experienced school life with their Chinese peers. On 30 March, the delegation had a party with students from Dongcheng District Children's Palace and Beijing children who have participated in the Asia-Pacific Children's Convention in Fukuoka. The Chinese and Japanese students also took an active part in the signature-collecting activity for the Beijing Olympic Games sponsored by CSCLF.

CSCLF arranged home-stays for all the visiting Japanese students to enable them to better understand about China and feel the excitement of the Beijing people for the upcoming Olympic Games.

Many years of cooperation between CSCLF and the Organizing Committee of Asia-Pacific Children's Convention in Fukuoka has greatly contributed to the deepening of friendship between Chinese and Japanese youngsters. The Asia-Pacific Children's Convention in Fukuoka has held 19 successful meetings. The Organizing Committee invites "Children Ambassadors" from nearly 40 Asia-Pacific countries and regions to Japan for 15-day's visits during every summer vacation. CSCLF sends outstanding students as "Children Ambassadors" to Japan to participate in the program every year.
