Taiwan's justice chief Wang Ching-feng has resigned as the island's "Executive Yuan" head Wu Den-yih approved her resignation Friday, just days after her claim of no execution during her term aroused heated public debate.

Wang said previously in an article that she would rather quit than order any execution of the convicts.
