The incidence of tumor rises with the improvement of people's living standards and changes of their environment and lifestyle. It has become one of the major deadly diseases in China. The disease has significant influences not only to patients, but also to their families and the society. How to improve patients' understanding of the disease and prevent it scientifically is a task of top priority. Therefore, the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation launched the caring project for tumor patients. The project will organize lectures on tumor patient education, hand out materials on patient education in about 200 hospitals all over the country. It will also launch a WeChat platform on breast cancer, stomach cancer and intestinal cancer.

The project aims to help patients improve their understanding of the disease and treatment compliance through comprehensive, scientific and practical disease health management knowledge, which will help extend their lives and improve their living quality. At the same time, the project calls all circles in the society to pay attention to tumor patients, promote early prevention, early treatment, standard medication and individualized management. It helps patients walk out of the haze of disease and welcome the sunshine in life. The foundation hopes more and more enterprises and organizations will pay attention to tumor patients and try their best to help them in the future.

The project was supported by Shanghai Roche Pharmaceutical Co Limited, who devoted to social welfare courses, and set patients' need first as its core belief.
