Football Seminar Held in Beijing

Hosted by China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF) and Peking University, the "Primary School Headmasters and School Football Reform and Development Seminar" was held in Beijing From July 5 to 6, 2015.

Experts and scholars discussed how to bring the educational function of football into play, and develop all-round talents. The activity aimed to carry out the "Overall Chinese Football Reform and Development Plan", and the spirit from the videophone conference of national teenager school football work, promote the development of school football, lead the construction of school football culture, and make use of Peking University's advantages in multi-subject. The activity got the support from the Sports Health and Art Education Department of the Ministry of Education, Youth Sports Division of General Administration of Sport, and Chinese Football Association.

Officials and guests attending the opening ceremony include Li Qixiao, Deputy Secretary-General of CSCLF, Wu Zhipan, Executive Vice President of Peking University, Wang Dengfeng, Director of the Sports Health and Art Education Department of the Ministry of Education, Zhang Jian, Director of China Football Management Center, Professor Bruce Wexler from Yale University and Professor Zhong Bingshu, President of Capital Institute of Physical Education. Over 100 university experts, scholars, government officials, directors of sports department, primary school teachers and media reporters attended the seminar as well.
