The excited moments of the game
The 2015 Cross Straits HK & Macao Youth Football Game, which was jointly hosted by China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF), Chinese Football Association and Beijing Sports Bureau, kicked off at the Xiangtang training base in Beijing on August 14.
All together 7 Under-16 (U16) football teams from Chinese Football Association, Chinese Taipei Football Association, Hong Kong Football Association, Macao Football Association, Beijing Football Association, Hunan Football Association and Xinjiang Football Association participated in the games. The 9-day football game adopted single cycle and accumulation scores regulation.
The event is not only an important opportunity to warm up before the FIBA Asia Under-16 Championship qualification, but also a promotion of youth cultural exchange between Chinese mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao. The Cross Straits HK & Macao Youth Football Game was initiated in August of 2010 in Beijing under the support of CSCLF, Chinese Football Association, Chinese Taipei Football Association, Hong Kong Football Association and Macao Football Association.
During the games this year, the young football players were also invited to visit the Great Wall and the Summer Palace, and were expected to participate in other cultural and recreational activities, in order to promote the development of the young football affairs, strengthen the friendship and cultural exchanges, and better the understandings of the profound Chinese history and culture between Chinese mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao.
