CSCLF Sends Mainland Teenager Volunteer Delegation to Visit Taiwan

Under the invitation of Taiwan Top 10 Outstanding Youth Foundation, China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF) organized and sent a teenager volunteer delegation of 30 members from the Chinese Mainland to visit Taiwan from May 7 to 16, 2016. Teachers and students in the delegation came from China University of Political Science and Law, China University of Geosciences, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing University of Science & Technology, Beijing University of Chemical Technology and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. All of them are volunteers for CSCLF cross-strait exchange activities.

This time's exchange activity focused on public welfare visit and learning teenager volunteering service, letting students from the Chinese mainland to know the current development of public welfare in Taiwan to broaden their vision. On the other hand, let teachers and students from the two sides live together to promote mutual understanding, let students from the Chinese mainland understand the multi-culture and multi-oriented development of Taiwan society, promote teenagers from the two sides to know and understand each other, as well as build a cooperative platform through visiting unique cultural creative parks and famous tourist attractions.

In order to have a clear picture of Taiwan's successful experiences in public welfare service, the delegation visited many foundations and their projects. Students of the delegation also participated in colorful teenager service activities.

Members of the delegation also shared their feelings through simulating interviews, poetry reading, and powerpoint presentation in groups. They also concluded the exchange activity with their songs and dances.

During the exchange activity, members of the delegation achieved their volunteering concept of "growing up with the foundation" and gained friendship in Taiwan. The visit concluded, but the exchange of minds never ended. We hope a better future for the cross-strait public welfare exchange activities.
