The 9th "Start Future Summer Camp" Held in Beijing

The 9th "Start Future Summer Camp" was held in Beijing by the Xishe Fund of China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF) from July10 to 15, 2016.

More than 84 people, including orphans, students and teachers from poor area, and staff of Social Welfare Institute were invited to the summer camp. Shao Xiuhua, Council Member of CSCLF, attended the opening ceremony.

Shao Xiuhua delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. She said that Children are the future of our country so focusing on the education of Children is our responsibility. She hoped the campers could make good use of the opportunity to go out of schools, open their minds, share their feelings and develop their abilities through this activity.

Campers visit the Great Wall.

During the seven-day activity, campers visited many cultural and historical sites, such as the Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling, the Capital Museum, the National Museum and the Great Wall. They learned a lot and had a deeper understanding of the Chinese history and culture. They also deeply felt the marvelous vitality of our country and treasured their beautiful life even more.

Xishe Fund was initiated by Shao Xiuhua, a CSCLF council member, in 2000, and created by Taiwan Qinteng Corp. It aims to aid the young and children as well as the aged people with no families in the respect of education and well-being in the former revolutionary base areas, areas inhabited by minority nationalities, remote and border areas and poverty-stricken areas. Local governments and the people deeply appreciate the fund.
