CSCLF Launches National Math Competition for Primary School Students

In order to improve the math level and train the mathematic thinking of modern primary school students, China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF) launched a national math competition for primary school students in the Former Residence of Soong Ching-ling on September 21, 2016. Tang Jiuhong, director of CSCLF Fund Department, Liu Yuheng, deputy director of CSCLF Service Center, Ding Xin, vice chairman and secretary-general of China Association for Educational Science and Technology, Jia Xiaoming, co-founder and CMO of knowbox.cn, as well as over a hundred headmasters, researchers and teachers from primary schools around the country, attended the activity.

Liu Yuheng, deputy director of CSCLF Service Center, said: "Madame Soong Ching-ling once said, there were some things which could be waited, but training children could not be waited. We should leave the most precious things to children. The foundation cooperates with knowbox.cn and China Association for Educational Science and Technology to launch the event, which aims to improve the math level of children. The establishment of the program not only has something to do with the development of children and teenagers, but also has something to do with the future of country and Chinese nation."

Jia Xiaoming, co-founder and CMO of knowbox.cn, said math was the mother of all science. Mastering math could help you master the key to all types of science.

Ding Xin, vice chairman and secretary-general of China Association for Educational Science and Technology, said the event was meaningful to enlighten the wisdom, broaden the vision, and develop the spirit of active learning of primary school students. He expected all teachers and students from all over the country to participate in it.

The event was established by the donation of 1 million yuan by knowbox.cn to CSCLF. It started from September 20, and would last before the Spring Festival of 2017.
