CNOOC University Student Scholarship Fund Awarding Ceremony in Beijing

Hosted by China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF) and China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), the awarding ceremony of CNOOC University Student Scholarship Fund was held in the Former Residence of Soong Ching-ling on October 17, 2016. Jing Dunquan, vice chairman of CSCLF, and Wu Guangqi, deputy general manager of CNOOC and chairman of CNOOC Foundation, attended the awarding ceremony.

The program lasted for over half a year, covering 37 universities. 60 candidates from 10 universities were selected in the program.

Leaders attending the event presented certificates to award winning student representatives. After the ceremony, Tang Jiuhong, director of CSCLF Fund Department, signed a cooperation agreement with Song Ruilin, secretary-general of CNOOC Foundation. On behalf of CSCLF, Jing Dunquan, vice chairman of CSCLF, presented the donation certificate to the foundation, which also showed the official launching of the 2016 program of the CNOOC University Student Scholarship Fund.

Up till now, the CNOOC Foundation had donated over 40 million yuan to CSCLF, supporting over 13,000 university students from poor families directly and involving over 1 million university students.
